The hunger in his eyes sent a shiver to her core, but she didn't flinch or try to back away. His hand came upslowly, like he was afraid of his own strengthand lightly brushed her lips. |

"It's all right," she whispered. |

Cyrus swept her up into his arms and carried her to the bed. |

Kyna took the scenic route to give Cyrus a chance to see Glacier National Park. They entered the park through a wondrous valley stepped with heavy fog and wound around a glacial lake that was as deep as the Sears Tower is tall. Kyna stopped several times to take pictures of the lake and a pair of grizzly bears raiding the garbage cans along the side of the road. They escaped the park and the fog by taking the tortuous Going-to-the-Sun Highway up and over the mountains. During the trip, Cyrus was unusually quiet. But that was okay, because Kyna couldn't seem to shut up. |

"I don't know what got into you this morning. If it was your run, I hope you get up and run every morning. Matter of fact, if you want to get out and run along beside the car right now, it's fine by me." |

She winked at him and smiled. It was a big happy smile. The first he had seen from her since the wolf attack. |

Cyrus gazed out the window and let her enthusiasm wash over him like spring sunshine. Since their almost violent bout of lovemaking, he had felt listless and melancholy. Making love with Kyna had been like trying to hold on to an Olympic gymnast on speed. For her, sex was food and he was the banquet. It had been wonderful, warm and at times funny. Still |
